Q: Is there a minimum amount for a free pick-up?
A: Yes. 50 pounds
Q: What if I do not have the minimum weight amount?
A: You can choose to pay our minimum Pick-up charge of $15, mail your items into our center, or drop them off.
Q: I only have a few small items. Can I drop them off or mail them in?
A: Yes. For mailing the address is The Recycling Center of America, 68 Stiles Road, Unit E, Salem, NH 03079. For drop-off information, please contact us for our hours vary.

Q: I have something I’m not sure you will accept, what do I do?
A: Contact us and describe it as best as possible.
Q: Will you come into my home to remove the items?
A: As a rule of thumb, no. We are not junk removers, house cleaners or movers. We like the items to be left by an outside door of your home, in the driveway or somewhere accessible for our truck to pull up and remove them.
Q: Where do I leave the items?
A: Preferably in your driveway, near the house, not near the street to deter strangers from taking away your items.
Q: What if it rains?
A: Do your best to cover the items with a tarp pr a plastic garbage bags. We would like to keep them as dry as possible for handling and sorting
Q: What if I make a mistake and leave an item you do not accept?
A: We will identify it and leave it on your property.
Q: What do I do with Items you do not accept?
A: The items we do not accept are generally due to some kind of hazard or environmental law in the state. Most of these items have suggestions and recommendations on your town’s or state’s website.
Q: If I leave an item that you accept, but charge a fee for, how do I pay?
A: After you contact us via our webform, email or phone, if we identify you have an item we will take, but must charge a removal and handling fee for, we will email you and invoice you via PayPal. If you can not pay via PayPal, you can leave a check with your items for pick up. Please make it payable to The Recycling center of America
